Hg Acquires Majority Stake in Transporeon Group from TPG Capital

Hg has agreed to acquire a majority interest in Transporeon Group, the Ulm-headquartered cloud-based logistics platform, from existing investor TPG Capital; terms were not disclosed. Transporeon, which employs about 600 people and connects over 1,000 shippers and ~90,000 carriers via its SaaS platform, will be backed by Hg's Hg8 fund to accelerate product and geographic growth and leverage its network effects.

Transplace Acquires Lanehub to Enhance Transportation Collaboration Technology

Transplace has acquired Lanehub, a Green Bay–based cloud platform that matches recurring freight lanes to connect shippers and carriers and reduce empty miles. The deal adds Lanehub's collaboration marketplace and customer base across CPG, food, retail, manufacturing and automotive to Transplace's transportation management and logistics technology capabilities.

Trimble Acquires Transporeon from Hg for €1.88 Billion

Trimble has agreed to acquire Transporeon, a cloud-based transportation management and freight marketplace platform, from private equity firm Hg for an enterprise value of €1.88 billion. The deal expands Trimble’s transportation and logistics capabilities by adding Transporeon’s SaaS platform, network of shippers and carriers, and data/visibility offerings; the transaction was expected to close in the first half of 2023, subject to regulatory approvals.

Uber Technologies Acquires Postmates

Uber Technologies, Inc. agreed to acquire Postmates, Inc. in an all-stock transaction announced in November/December 2020 valued at approximately $2.65 billion. The deal combines Postmates' last-mile delivery and delivery-as-a-service capabilities with Uber's global Rides and Eats platform to create operational synergies, expand merchant reach, and improve batching and logistics efficiency.

Transplace Acquires ScanData Systems to Add Parcel TMS Capabilities

BlueGrace Logistics Acquires FreightCenter

BlueGrace Logistics, a PE-backed third-party logistics (3PL) provider, has acquired FreightCenter, a 26-year-old online transportation solutions provider. The deal will integrate FreightCenter's customers and online freight capabilities with BlueGrace's BlueShip TMS, carrier network and managed logistics services while FreightCenter continues to operate under its existing brand.
