Hovercraft Ventures Acquires Raw Cereal

Hovercraft Ventures (formerly Skyview Innovations) has rebranded and acquired Raw Cereal, a Los Angeles-based creative production studio led by Anders Rahm and Cort Lawrence. Raw Cereal will join Hovercraft’s portfolio to expand the platform’s live, immersive and production capabilities for music, entertainment and corporate clients; deal terms and the seller were not disclosed.

Nexus Capital Acquires Smucker's Natural Beverage and Grains Businesses (R.W. Knudsen, TruRoots)

The J.M. Smucker Co. completed the sale of its natural and organic beverage and grains businesses — including the R.W. Knudsen and TruRoots assets and trademarks plus a licensing agreement for Santa Cruz Organic beverages — to Nexus Capital Management LP for $110 million in cash (subject to working capital adjustments). The transaction includes manufacturing and distribution facilities in Chico, California and Havre de Grace, Maryland, and Nexus plans to operate the acquired brands as an independent consumer platform led by Bobby Chacko as chairman and CEO.

GrubMarket Acquires FreshGoGo

GrubMarket has acquired FreshGoGo, a Plainview, New York–based online Asian grocery and specialty food e-commerce platform. The deal brings FreshGoGo's cold-chain logistics, 50,000 sq. ft. warehouse, satellite dispatch centers and e-commerce platform into GrubMarket's foodtech ecosystem to strengthen its online grocery capabilities and reach into the Asian grocery market.
