Stonepeak Acquires Rinchem Company Inc.

Stonepeak, a New York-based alternative investment firm, has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Rinchem Company Inc., a specialty chemical and gas warehousing and logistics provider. The acquisition will support Rinchem's expansion into new markets and leverage Stonepeak's experience in transportation, logistics and infrastructure to grow the business globally; financial terms were not disclosed and the deal was expected to close in Q1 2022.

Stonepeak has partnered with Dupré Logistics, a Lafayette, Louisiana-based transportation company that operates more than 700 trucks and 1,000 professional drivers, to invest in and grow Dupré's nationwide energy distribution, private fleet and brokerage services. The Dupré family will remain shareholders and Stonepeak has appointed Chris Sower as interim CEO to support the company's next phase of growth; terms were not disclosed.

Transportation Infrastructure Partners, a joint venture between Ridgewood Infrastructure and Savage, has acquired The Dupuy Group, a near‑port logistics and intermodal infrastructure provider serving major U.S. ports. The acquisition expands the JV's U.S. port and terminal footprint (complementing prior purchases of Carolina Marine Terminal and Nassau Terminals), and is intended to enhance service capabilities and realize synergies across the partners' port and terminal network.

Dupré Logistics Acquires Interstate Transport, Inc.

(LMR), a Baton Rouge–based third-party logistics and transportation management provider focused on chemicals and industrial gases. The acquisition, completed Oct. 24, 2022, expands Grammer's transportation management capabilities and complements its asset and non-asset service offerings as part of its PE-backed growth strategy.

Merichem Technologies Acquires Chemical Products Industries (CPI)

Merichem Technologies, a portfolio company of Black Bay Energy Capital, has closed the acquisition of Chemical Products Industries (CPI), a specialty-chemicals maker based in Oklahoma City known for its SULFURTRAP adsorbents and industrial cleaning chemistries. The acquisition will integrate CPI's products into Merichem's Catalyst Division to expand its sulfur-treatment technology suite and strengthen service across markets including renewable fuels, biogas, midstream and downstream oil & gas.
