gWorks, a cloud-native software provider for local governments based in Omaha, Nebraska, has acquired Freedom Systems, a Pennsylvania-based provider of tax and utility billing and municipal software. The acquisition, effective March 27, 2024, is an add-on to gWorks' existing platform (backed by BV Investment Partners) to expand product capabilities and strengthen its footprint serving small local governments in Pennsylvania.

The acquisition expands Springbrook's product functionality and national footprint, with the combined companies serving nearly 2,000 local government entities across multiple countries; PUBLIQ was sold by its parent, RedSail Technologies.

Valsoft Corporation Acquires PenguinData Workforce Management
