AdaptHealth (NASDAQ: AHCO) has acquired Spiro Health Services, a New England-focused respiratory and sleep-focused home medical equipment (HME) provider formed from a merger of regional HME businesses. The acquisition expands AdaptHealth’s presence in New England and the Mid-Atlantic (Spiro operated 22 locations across eight states); Spiro was sold by PE investors Upstream Capital and NewSpring Capital.

NewSpring Mezzanine (part of NewSpring) and Upstream Capital provided mezzanine debt and equity to support the merger of America's HealthCare at Home, Cape Medical Supply, and Health Complex Medical into a new platform called Spiro Health. The funding will be used to expand the combined company's geographic footprint, pursue organic growth and acquisitions, and build patient/referral partner technology and service capabilities in home medical equipment and respiratory/sleep care.

Quipt Home Medical Acquires Access Respiratory Homecare

(Quipt) acquired Access Respiratory Homecare, LLC, adding two Louisiana locations and approximately $6.5 million in annualized revenue and an expected $1.3 million of adjusted EBITDA post-integration. The deal expands Quipt’s service footprint into Louisiana (New Orleans and Lafayette), increases its active patient base and referring physician network, and brings a management team with specialized respiratory capabilities and insurance contracts.
