AVALT, a Boston-based private equity-focused family office, and VantEdge, a Kansas City-based family office investment firm, have acquired Suburban Intermediate Holdco, Inc., a Waukesha, Wisconsin provider of drywall, insulation, steel framing and custom finish installation services. The sponsors invested alongside members of Suburban's management and plan to pursue an acquisition-driven strategy to expand the platform's geographic footprint beyond Wisconsin; terms were not disclosed. High Street Capital sold the company.

Kele, Inc. Acquires A-tech, Inc.

(ACT) has acquired Tekgard, Inc., a York, Pennsylvania-based engineering and manufacturing firm that builds environmental control systems for harsh and remote military operations. The acquisition, finalized March 1, 2021, expands ACT’s product and system capabilities in thermal management and integrates Tekgard’s engineering and manufacturing operations; Tekgard president Mike Bahn will join ACT as vice president of the Tekgard Division. Both companies will maintain employees and closely located facilities to enhance product design, engineering, manufacturing and testing.
