News Corp Acquires Base Chemicals from S&P Global Market Intelligence for $295M

News Corp completed the acquisition of the Base Chemicals business from S&P Global Market Intelligence for $295 million in cash. The business will operate as Chemical Market Analytics by OPIS (a Dow Jones company), adding pricing, data and forecasting capabilities (Base Chemicals generated about $65M in revenue and had ~185 employees) to Dow Jones' energy, chemicals and sustainability vertical.
