Wellful Acquires Jenny Craig Brand

Wellful, Inc., a Kainos Capital portfolio company and owner of Nutrisystem, has acquired the Jenny Craig brand from the Jenny Craig bankruptcy estate and plans to relaunch it as a direct-to-consumer e-commerce offering with coaching and prepared-food delivery. The brand will operate as an independent label within Wellful’s health and wellness portfolio and is expected to return in the fall with DTC delivery and personalized coaching.
