LDC Invests in DSP to Drive International Growth

LDC, the private equity arm of Lloyds Banking Group, has acquired DSP, a UK-based Oracle-focused database, cloud and applications managed service provider, in a deal that marks an exit for YFM Equity Partners. The investment will support DSP’s international expansion into North America and Europe and further build its product and service capabilities; DSP reports circa £30m revenue and around 200 employees across the UK and Ireland.

LDC Invests in Building Cost Information Service (BCIS)

LDC, the private equity arm of Lloyds Banking Group, has taken an investment stake in the Building Cost Information Service (BCIS), enabling BCIS to become an independent company while the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) retains a minority share. The funding will support further investment in BCIS's technology platform, data assets and online services to enhance its cost benchmarking and valuation offerings for the construction, facilities management and insurance sectors.

LDC Invests £25m Minority in CTI Group

LDC has made a £25 million minority growth investment in Manchester-based digital agency CTI Group to support the company's acquisitive growth and international expansion. CTI, which employs around 175 people and reported c. £18m revenue in the last 12 months, will use the capital to expand services, pursue add-on acquisitions in the UK and overseas, and open new offices in the USA, Europe and Asia.

LDC Invests £13m in Hybrid

LDC, the private equity arm of Lloyds Banking Group, has invested £13 million in Bristol-based digital media and marketing agency Hybrid to support organic growth and enable targeted acquisitions. Hybrid, which serves higher education institutions and global technology brands and employs more than 70 people across offices in Bristol, Kuala Lumpur and Sydney, will retain its management team while founder James Craven remains as a Board Director.

Third Summit Acquires Freelancer Platform Blis

Third Summit Corporation has acquired Blis, a San Francisco–area freelance marketplace for creative and production talent, and plans to integrate the startup into its Alteon ecosystem. Blis's founders will join Third Summit and existing Blis users and enterprise clients will be migrated into the new Alteon Community, Alteon Cloud and Alteon Pay offerings slated for launch in spring 2020.
