CentraCom (LICT Corporation) Acquires Manti Telephone Company, Manti Tele Communications and AFConnect

CentraCom, a wholly owned subsidiary of LICT Corporation, has agreed to acquire Manti Telephone Company (MTC), sister company Manti Tele Communications Company (MTCC), and AFConnect (AFI). The deal — which expands CentraCom’s statewide fiber footprint into Manti, Sterling, Ephraim and American Fork, Utah — is expected to close on October 31, 2023 pending regulatory approval.

iQSTEL Acquires 51% of Lynk Telecom

iQSTEL Inc. agreed to acquire a 51% membership interest in Lynk Telecom (Lynktel), adding an estimated $20 million in annual revenue and $1 million in annual net income. The transaction strengthens iQSTEL's U.S. presence by integrating Lynk Telecom's wholesale and retail telecom services and is expected to close by July 1, 2024 following due diligence.

Americom will continue to operate under President and Founder Pat Richter; the deal expands Crestone's footprint across the Mountain West as an add-on to its existing West Division.

Charter Communications to Acquire Liberty Broadband in All-Stock Transaction

Charter Communications has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Liberty Broadband in an all-stock transaction. Liberty Broadband will spin off its GCI business prior to the deal closing, and the transaction is currently expected to close June 30, 2027 (subject to closing conditions).

Cequel III to Acquire Benton Ridge Telephone Company and Broadband Subsidiaries

Benton Ridge Telephone Company (BRTC) and its broadband subsidiaries have had shareholders approve the acquisition by Cequel III, a St. Louis-based investment and management firm. The deal is pending regulatory approvals and is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2022, supporting continued expansion of hybrid fiber and fixed wireless broadband through BRTC’s Watch Communications and Community Fiber Solutions subsidiaries.
