Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company PJSC (Masdar) has closed the acquisition of a 50% stake in Terra‑Gen Power Holdings II, LLC from Energy Capital Partners, with Igneo Infrastructure Partners retaining the remaining 50%. The deal strengthens Masdar’s U.S. platform—Terra‑Gen operates ~3.8 GW of wind, solar and battery storage (5.1 GWh) across ~30 sites and has a 12+ GW pipeline—supporting Masdar’s U.S. expansion and broader 100 GW global target by 2030.

Ampersand Capital Partners Leads $18.5M Growth Investment in Genezen

Genezen closed an $18.5 million follow-on growth equity financing led by Ampersand Capital Partners to accelerate expansion of its viral vector development and GMP manufacturing capabilities. The capital will support build-out and technology investments at Genezen's facilities (including the Fishers, Indiana GMP viral vector site) to scale retroviral, lentiviral and AAV vector production and support additional customer programs.

Mars Equity Partners and affiliated Mars Energy Group (via platform NewGen Energy) have acquired K12 Energy (also referred to as K12 Solar), a El Dorado Hills, California provider of commercial solar solutions and Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) financing for nonprofits, schools and small commercial customers. The deal integrates K12 into Mars Energy's portfolio to expand commercial solar capabilities and nonprofit/school PPA expertise as an add-on to the group's NewGen Energy platform.

Ara Partners Acquires Genera Energy Inc

Ara Partners, a private equity firm focused on industrial decarbonization, acquired Genera Energy Inc., a vertically integrated U.S. non-wood agricultural pulp and molded fiber sustainable packaging manufacturer. The deal includes Ara committing up to an additional $200 million to expand Genera’s sustainable pulp and packaging manufacturing capacity in Vonore, Tennessee and grow the company’s U.S. production footprint.

Bioenergy DevCo, a developer and operator of anaerobic digestion facilities, received a $106 million minority growth investment from Newlight Partners LP. The capital will be used to expand Bioenergy DevCo's operational footprint across North America to build and operate additional renewable natural gas and organics-recycling facilities.
