Mercer Advisors Acquires Waypoint Capital Advisors

Mercer Global Advisors (Mercer Advisors) has acquired Waypoint Capital Advisors, a Minneapolis-based investment advisory and financial planning firm that manages nearly $1 billion in client assets for ultra-high-net-worth families. The deal brings Waypoint's 12 professionals into Mercer and is intended to deepen Mercer’s multi-family office and UHNW capabilities while expanding its Minneapolis footprint.

Mercer Global Advisors (Mercer Advisors) has acquired Benchmark Wealth Management, a Registered Investment Adviser based in Old Lyme, Connecticut that oversees approximately $412 million in assets for more than 300 primarily high-net-worth clients. The deal expands Mercer’s presence in Connecticut and the Northeast while adding Benchmark’s high-net-worth financial planning and wealth management capabilities to Mercer’s national RIA platform.

Mercer Advisors Acquires Sanford Advisory Services, LLC

Mercer Global Advisors, Inc. has acquired Sanford Advisory Services, LLC, a Portage, Michigan-based wealth management firm managing approximately $1.1 billion in AUM/A and serving about 1,100 clients. The Sanford team of ten professionals, including founders Todd Sanford, Scott Williams and Brent Kerstetter, will join Mercer as the firm expands its Central U.S. presence.

Mercer Global Advisors (Mercer Advisors), a national registered investment adviser headquartered in Denver, acquired Marrs Wealth Management, LLC, an Ames, Iowa-based wealth management firm with approximately $215 million AUM serving ~275 clients. The deal closed December 31, 2020, and four Marrs team members (including founders/LLC members Craig Marrs, Andra Reason, and Nathan Brammer) joined Mercer; the move was driven primarily by succession planning and to expand client services and back-office capabilities.

Mercer Advisors Acquires McGee Wealth Management, Inc.

Mercer Global Advisors (Mercer Advisors), a Denver-based registered investment adviser, acquired McGee Wealth Management, a Portland, Oregon wealth management firm, effective December 31, 2020. The transaction brings roughly 15 McGee team members and approximately $815 million AUM (serving ~800 clients) into Mercer as part of a succession plan and to augment Mercer’s Portland presence.
