Microsoft to Acquire Nuance Communications in $19.7 Billion All-Cash Deal

Microsoft announced it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Nuance Communications for $56.00 per share in an all-cash transaction valued at $19.7 billion, including Nuance’s net debt. Nuance’s CEO Mark Benjamin will remain in his role and report to Scott Guthrie within Microsoft, as the deal is intended to close by the end of the calendar year and is subject to shareholder and regulatory approvals.
