Moreld Acquires Ocean Installer from HitecVision

Moreld has entered into an agreement to acquire Ocean Installer from private equity firm HitecVision. The acquisition expands Moreld's capabilities into subsea engineering and construction, adds Ocean Installer's ~280 employees and international offices, and is being financed in part by a US$225 million senior secured note offering; the deal is subject to Norwegian competition approval.

Moreld is an offshore engineering and marine services group with ~NOK5 billion (c. US$484m) revenue in 2023 and ~2,800 employees; the acquisition positions the buyers to benefit from increased investment in offshore activity, decarbonisation and renewables on the Norwegian Continental Shelf.
