TenCate Grass Acquires Sports & Leisure Group from Sun European Affiliate

TenCate Grass Holding B.V. has acquired Sports & Leisure Group (SLG), a vertically integrated artificial turf systems manufacturer headquartered in Sint‑Niklaas, Belgium. The shares were sold by an affiliate of Sun European Partners; former SLG shareholders, including the Sun European affiliate, will reinvest part of the sale proceeds into TenCate. The deal expands TenCate's geographic footprint and Outdoor Living portfolio across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Southeast Asia and South America.

H.I.G. Europe to Acquire Lagardère Sports from Lagardère Group

An affiliate of H.I.G. Capital (H.I.G. Europe) signed a definitive agreement to acquire Lagardère Sports from the Lagardère Group, which will retain a 24.9% minority stake. Lagardère Sports is a global sports-marketing firm with ~1,300 employees and more than €450 million in annual sales; H.I.G. plans to rebrand the company, install Stefan Felsing as CEO and pursue growth pending antitrust clearance.

Sun European Affiliate Acquires MegaGroup Trade Holding BV

An affiliate of Sun European Partners has acquired MegaGroup, a Veghel-headquartered omnichannel wholesaler of water technic solutions serving installers, professional end-users, resellers and OEMs across Northwestern Europe. Sun European said it will use its operational toolkit and buy-and-build experience to accelerate MegaGroup’s organic growth and pursue selective acquisitions across existing and new markets.

KPS Capital Partners Acquires Sport Group

KPS Capital Partners, through a newly formed affiliate, signed a definitive agreement to acquire Sport Group TopCo GmbH (owner of AstroTurf, Polytan, Rekortan, Laykold and other brands) from funds advised by Equistone Partners Europe. Sport Group, headquartered in Burgheim, Germany, is a global designer, manufacturer and installer of artificial turf and polyurethane sports surfaces with more than 1,900 employees and operations across the Americas, EMEA and Asia-Pacific; KPS plans to support growth and operational initiatives and pursue a global acquisition strategy.

Strategic Gaming Management Acquires Sunland Park Racetrack & Casino

Strategic Gaming Management, LLC (SGM) has completed the acquisition of Sunland Park Racetrack & Casino for $301 million. Immediately following closing, SGM sold the real property to Gaming and Leisure Properties, Inc. (GLPI) in a sale‑leaseback; the deal expands SGM's portfolio of regional gaming assets and adds a leading New Mexico racetrack and casino.
