Sunflower Industrial (KCN Companies) Acquires Controlling Interest in Desco Floor Systems

Sunflower Industrial, a coatings platform majority owned by KCN Companies, has acquired a controlling interest in Desco Floor Systems, a Fortville, Indiana-based commercial and industrial resinous polymer and polished concrete installer. Desco's leadership (Lee Reasor and Mark Verry) will remain in place and will partner with Sunflower's Epoxy Coating Specialists (ECS) to expand the combined company's national installation footprint.

Aquafinity (Turning Basin-backed) Acquires Aquatic Environmental Systems

Commercial Energy Specialists Holdings LLC (dba Aquafinity), a Turning Basin Capital and Vigeo Investments-backed platform, has acquired Aquatic Environmental Systems, Inc. (AES), a Tempe, Arizona-based provider of full-service water treatment solutions for commercial and institutional swimming pools in Arizona, New Mexico and west Texas. The add-on deal, which closed June 30, 2023, expands Aquafinity’s geographic presence in the Southwest; terms were not disclosed.

Diverzify Acquires Wholesale Floors, LLC

Wholesale Floors, a nearly 45-year-old commercial flooring distributor and contractor focused on healthcare and education clients, will join Diverzify's network of brands as part of the company's continued roll-up strategy.

The deal combines complementary product portfolios to expand market reach, enable cross-selling across residential, commercial and industrial end markets, and improve scalability and operational efficiencies.

Huron Capital's Sunland Asphalt Acquires ACE Asphalt

Huron Capital Partners acquired ACE Asphalt of Arizona and will merge it into its infrastructure services platform, Sunland Asphalt & Construction. The deal expands Sunland's geographic footprint into Texas and Oklahoma and broadens service capabilities (e.g., slurry sealing and chip sealing) while keeping Ace's President Scott Phillips as leader of the Western Division and Sunland CEO Doug DeClusin leading integration.
