Hull & Company, LLC, a subsidiary of Brown & Brown, Inc., has acquired substantially all assets of The Colonial Group, Inc. and all issued and outstanding shares of its affiliate Colonial Premium Finance Company. The Colonial Group — a Greensboro, North Carolina-based managing general agency specializing in housing, recreational and specialty property & casualty insurance and premium financing — will continue operating as a stand-alone office within Brown & Brown's Wholesale Brokerage Segment.

Brookfield Acquires Colonial Enterprises (Colonial Pipeline)

Brookfield Infrastructure Partners, through its subsidiary Colossus AcquireCo LLC and institutional partners, completed the purchase of Colonial Enterprises Inc. from a consortium of owners for an enterprise value of about $9 billion. The deal gives Brookfield sole ownership of the Colonial Pipeline system — the largest refined-products pipeline in the U.S. — and was completed with sellers including Shell Midstream Operating LLC, Koch Capital, KKR-Keats, La Caisse and IFM Investors.

Main Street Capital Provides $32.9M to Recapitalize Colonial Electric Company

Main Street Capital Corporation invested $32.9 million in a recapitalization of Colonial Electric Company, LLC, providing a mix of first-lien senior secured term debt and a direct equity investment plus a revolving credit facility. Main Street and an unnamed co-investor partnered with Colonial's existing owners and senior management to complete the transaction and support the company’s working capital needs.

Regent Holding Company Acquires Household Essentials

Regent Holding Company, the Memphis-based owner of home brands including Creative Co-Op and Bloomingville, has acquired Household Essentials, a Hazelwood, Missouri-based home storage and laundry solutions provider. The acquisition adds Household Essentials' e-commerce expertise and ready-to-assemble furniture offerings to Regent's omni-channel home products platform.

Equistone Acquires Majority Stake in RENA Group

Funds advised by Equistone Partners Europe have acquired a majority interest in the RENA group from funds advised by Capvis AG. RENA, headquartered in Gütenbach, Germany, is a manufacturer of wet-chemical surface treatment machinery with around 800 employees and annual output above €120 million; Equistone will partner with management to support continued growth, R&D and expansion into adjacent markets subject to regulatory clearance.

Stately Doors & Windows Acquires Reilly Architectural

Stately Doors & Windows has acquired Reilly Architectural (previously part of Pella Corporation’s Luxury Division), adding Reilly’s custom wood and metal doors and windows business and its 125,000-square-foot Calverton, New York facility to Stately’s network. The acquisition expands Stately’s ultra‑luxury footprint up and down the East Coast and brings complementary design, manufacturing, installation and white‑glove service capabilities to the combined business.
