Lee Equity Partners Makes Majority Investment in PCS Retirement

Lee Equity Partners has acquired a majority interest in PCS Retirement, a Philadelphia-based retirement plan recordkeeper; as part of the transaction, prior investor LLR Partners will exit and Scott David will join PCS as CEO. The investment is intended to accelerate new business sales, expand relationships, enhance digital and service capabilities, and support PCS's M&A strategy; terms were not disclosed.

EQT to Acquire VetPartners from National Veterinary Associates

EQT has agreed to acquire VetPartners, the largest provider of veterinary and animal health services in Australia and New Zealand, from National Veterinary Associates. VetPartners operates a network of 267 clinics and specialty hospitals with over 4,300 clinical and support staff; EQT says it will invest in diagnostic equipment, technology, recruitment and training to support continued growth and improved clinical outcomes. The transaction is subject to customary approvals and is expected to close around the end of the calendar year.

VetCor Acquires People, Pets & Vets

VetCor, a PE-backed operator of veterinary practices (portfolio company of funds managed by Harvest Partners and Cressey & Company), has acquired People, Pets & Vets (PPV), a veterinarian-led network of more than 150 animal hospitals across the western and southern United States. The deal expands VetCor's national footprint and combines two multi-location veterinary operators to broaden clinical resources, support services and career opportunities for veterinary teams.

AmeriVet Veterinary Partners Acquires Northeast Veterinary Partners

AmeriVet Veterinary Partners (San Antonio, TX) acquired 14 veterinary practices from Northeast Veterinary Partners in a buyout announced October 11, 2022, marking the first time AmeriVet has purchased another veterinary consolidator. The deal expands AmeriVet’s clinic network (bringing it to about 186 clinics at the time) and adds locations across New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Vermont, California and Maine as part of its ongoing consolidation and network expansion strategy.

OMERS Private Equity Acquires Community Veterinary Partners from Cortec Group

Veterinary Practice Partners Partners with Caring Hands Animal Hospital

Veterinary Practice Partners (VPP) has entered a partnership with Caring Hands Animal Hospital, bringing the eight-hospital Caring Hands network into VPP’s community and elevating 21 associate doctors to equity partners (17 of whom are women). The agreement preserves veterinarian ownership and clinical autonomy while VPP provides operational support to help the Caring Hands practices grow and focus on patient care.
