Versa Integrity Group Acquires Avion Solutions' Commercial UAS Operations

Versa Integrity Group, a Dorilton Capital-backed industrial inspection services platform, has acquired the commercial Unmanned Aircraft Systems operations ("Avion Commercial") of Avion Solutions. Avion Commercial — based in Huntsville, Alabama — provides drone imagery, inspection, data collection, and training services; Avion Solutions will retain its government services business. The deal expands Versa's non-destructive testing and inspection capabilities by adding unmanned aerial inspection services.

AeroVironment Acquires Arcturus UAV for $405M

AeroVironment, Inc. (NASDAQ: AVAV) will acquire Arcturus UAV, Inc., a Petaluma, California–based developer and manufacturer of Group 2 and 3 unmanned aircraft systems, for a total purchase price of $405 million (approximately $355 million cash and $50 million in AeroVironment stock). The acquisition expands AeroVironment's product portfolio into higher-value Group 2 and 3 UAS segments, adds Arcturus’s ~270 employees and COCO services capability, and is expected to be accretive to adjusted EBITDA and GAAP EPS in fiscal 2022.

RadNet Acquires Antelope Valley and Grossman Imaging Centers in $14M of Tuck‑Ins

RadNet, Inc. completed two tuck‑in acquisitions of outpatient imaging assets totaling $14.03 million, acquiring Antelope Valley Outpatient Imaging Centers for $3.53 million (closed Feb. 1) and Grossman Imaging Centers for $10.5 million (closed March 31). The deals add nine outpatient centers in Southern California and align with RadNet's ongoing strategy of targeted tuck‑in acquisitions to expand its footprint in existing markets.

Spartan Education Group Acquires Illinois Aviation Academy

Spartan Education Group, a Chicago-based aviation education operator, acquired Illinois Aviation Academy (IAA), a Part 141 flight school located at DuPage County Airport in West Chicago, Illinois. The deal expands Spartan's flight-training offerings and capacity (IAA operates a 30,000 sq. ft. facility and a fleet of 25+ aircraft) as part of efforts to address the U.S. pilot shortage.

Genius Brands Acquires WOW! Unlimited Media

Genius Brands International (NASDAQ: GNUS) has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire WOW! Unlimited Media Inc. for approximately US$53 million in cash and stock, creating a combined animation and digital media company. The deal adds WOW!'s Frederator and Mainframe studios, a large YouTube network and contracted production backlog, expanding Genius Brands' production capacity, audience demographics and monetization channels.
