Aurora Material Solutions Merges with Enviroplas

Aurora Material Solutions (Aurora Plastics), a Nautic Partners-backed polymer compounds manufacturer, has merged with Enviroplas Inc., an Evansville-based engineering compounding business. The deal launches Aurora's engineered polymers business segment while Enviroplas founder Jim Stratman remains a substantial shareholder and will lead the new engineered polymers unit.

Nautic Partners Acquires Aurora Plastics

Nautic Partners has completed the acquisition of Aurora Plastics, a Streetsboro, Ohio-based producer of PVC and custom polymer compounds, in partnership with Aurora management. The seller parties were Wind Point Partners and Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan Board; financing for the deal was led by Antares Capital and Carlyle Global Credit, and Nautic says it will support Aurora's growth and pursue acquisitions in the fragmented specialty compounds market.

Aurora Material Solutions Acquires Lastique International Corporation

Aurora Material Solutions, backed by private equity sponsor Nautic Partners, has acquired Lastique International Corporation and will integrate the business into its Sustainable Product Solutions platform. Lastique, a leading recycler and supplier of rigid PVC and other thermoplastic resins, will operate as a standalone segment under Aurora with existing management retained and will expand Aurora's recycled-content and closed-loop capabilities.

Edgewater Capital Partners Acquires EnPro's Polymer Components Business (Altamira Material Solutions LP)

Edgewater Capital Partners acquired the polymer components business from EnPro Industries and rebranded the operations as Altamira Material Solutions LP (formerly Technetics PTFE & Polymer Solutions). The deal includes three production sites (two in Houston, Texas and one in Hatfield, Pennsylvania) and positions Edgewater to expand its portfolio in performance/fluoropolymer materials serving semiconductor, aerospace & defense, oil & gas and industrial markets.

Trelleborg Group Acquires Aero-Plastics Inc.

Trelleborg Group, through its Trelleborg Sealing Solutions business area, has signed an agreement to acquire Aero-Plastics Inc., a Renton, Washington-based manufacturer of precision injection-molded and thermoformed high-performance polymer components for the aerospace interiors market. The acquisition — expected to close in Q2 2025 — expands Trelleborg's thermoplastics and interiors capabilities, adds capacity and customer relationships, and is intended to generate sales synergies within its aerospace offering.

Evantic Acquires Vertec Polymers, Inc.

Evantic, a portfolio company of Edgewater Capital Partners, has acquired Vertec Polymers, a Houston-based designer and manufacturer of high-performance polymer materials including PEEK, PPS, PTFE and PFA. The acquisition expands Evantic's engineered components platform by adding polymer R&D, injection and hot-compression molding, and precision machining capabilities to better serve customers in the energy, life sciences, food & beverage and industrial markets.
