Eurofins Scientific has agreed to acquire a majority stake in Ajal for Laboratories, a Riyadh-based food, tobacco and pharmaceutical testing laboratory that generated around €15m revenue in 2021. The transaction is Eurofins' first acquisition in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and is intended to expand its local testing network and support growing food production and biopharma sectors in the Middle East.
