EQT Infrastructure to merge IP-Only and GlobalConnect

EQT Infrastructure announced plans to combine its portfolio companies IP-Only and GlobalConnect to create a leading Northern European fiber-based datacom and cloud-enabling infrastructure provider. The merger creates scale across Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Northern Germany — combining roughly 58,000 km of fiber, ~18,000 sqm of data center capacity, more than 1,500 employees and combined 2018 revenues of ~EUR 520 million to accelerate network rollout, innovation and cross-border services for B2B, B2C and public customers.

KKR and GIP Complete Acquisition of CyrusOne

Funds managed by KKR and Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP) completed the all-cash acquisition of CyrusOne for approximately $15 billion including debt. CyrusOne will be taken private, its Nasdaq listing suspended and delisted as the new owners plan to support the company's global expansion and capitalize on strong secular demand for data center capacity.

American Premium Water Corp Acquires CloudXchange DataCentre Inc.

American Premium Water Corporation (APW) agreed to acquire 100% of CloudXchange DataCentre Inc. for US$45.6 million in restricted common shares issued to the seller, Mr. Chan Heng Fai (Ambrose). The seller guaranteed at least US$1.5 million of EBITDA for CloudX SG in the first 12 months; APW plans to pivot its business toward crypto-mining and rebrand to American Premium Mining Corporation.

UPSTACK Acquires Global Communication Networks (GCN)

UPSTACK has acquired Global Communication Networks, Inc. (GCN), a Florida-based IT channel advisory and connectivity integrator. GCN founder and CEO Chris Palermo will join UPSTACK as President and an equity stakeholder as UPSTACK (backed by a $50M investment from Berkshire Partners) integrates GCN's advisory capabilities to expand its cloud, data center, and connectivity offerings; terms were not disclosed.
