ACProducts, Inc. (acpi), a PE-backed cabinet manufacturer, has agreed to acquire Masco Cabinetry, a division of Masco Corporation. The add-on purchase expands acpi's product offering and manufacturing capabilities—bringing approximately 4,000 Masco Cabinetry associates into the acpi organization—and is expected to close by the end of Q1 2020.

Amca Acquires Aerospace Control Products, Inc.

Amca, an El Segundo, California-based aerospace and defense company, has acquired Aerospace Control Products, Inc. (ACPI) of Davenport, Iowa to expand its hydraulics-focused components platform by adding aerospace-grade pressure and liquid-level switch capabilities. Amca plans significant investment to expand ACPI’s manufacturing capacity and improve supply availability; Shedd Capital advised on the transaction and Aaron Ellis, ACPI’s president and former owner, will remain involved.

Saothair Capital Partners Acquires AAI (to be Renamed Air Products and Controls)

Saothair Capital Partners has completed the acquisition of AAI from Halma Holdings Inc.; following the transaction AAI will be renamed Air Products and Controls (APC). Headquartered in Auburn Hills, Michigan, AAI designs and manufactures fire and life-safety detection devices (wireless smoke, heat and CO detectors) sold to residential security OEMs, HVAC and fire-system OEMs, and commercial distributors.

Epicor Acquires Smart Software

Epicor has acquired Smart Software, a cloud-based, AI-driven provider of inventory planning and optimization (IP&O) applications, to integrate Smart Software’s Smart IP&O platform into Epicor’s ERP offerings. Financial terms were not disclosed; the deal is intended to accelerate Epicor’s delivery of AI-powered forecasting and inventory optimization capabilities for manufacturing, distribution, and retail customers.

Installed Building Products Acquires AMD Distribution, Inc.

(IBP) has acquired AMD Distribution, Inc., a Spring Valley, Minnesota-based distributor of insulation and related accessories that generates approximately $71 million of annual revenue across eight locations. The acquisition provides IBP with a new distribution platform, broadening its supply-chain capabilities, diversifying revenue and end-markets, and is expected to be immediately accretive to earnings.

APCT (IGP Portfolio Company) Acquires Advanced Circuits from Compass Diversified

APCT, a portfolio company of Industrial Growth Partners, completed the acquisition and merger with Advanced Circuits, Inc., a designer and manufacturer of quick-turn, low-volume printed circuit boards. The transaction was announced January 10, 2023 and closed in February 2023 (enterprise value reported at $220 million), with the seller Compass Diversified receiving approximately $170 million of proceeds at closing after adjustments.
