Warburg Pincus Acquires Sundyne from BC Partners and The Carlyle Group

Funds advised by Warburg Pincus agreed to acquire Sundyne, a designer and manufacturer of mission-critical centrifugal pumps and compressors, from funds advised by BC Partners and The Carlyle Group. Sundyne, headquartered in Arvada, Colorado, will remain led by CEO Mark Sefcik and Warburg Pincus plans to support further organic and strategic growth; the deal was expected to close in the first half of 2020.

BCF Equity Partners has acquired Peterborough-based pump distributor Hydromarque Ltd, a long-standing exclusive UK distributor for Gorman-Rupp, Cornell and Wallwin pumps. The deal is part-funded by a £1.4m commercial loan from Shawbrook Bank and BCF plans to expand the sales team and grow market share as the industry shifts toward above-ground pumps and UK water infrastructure investment drives demand.

Headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio, SCA is the largest power sweeping company in the U.S. with more than 1,000 employees across 35 locations and the investment will be used to accelerate sales and marketing, expand service capacity, and pursue strategic acquisitions.
