Atlas Copco Group Acquires Pumpenfabrik Wangen from Silverfleet Capital

Atlas Copco Group has agreed to acquire Pumpenfabrik Wangen, a German manufacturer of progressive cavity and twin-screw pumps, from pan‑European private equity firm Silverfleet Capital. The transaction (terms undisclosed) is subject to customary antitrust approvals and is expected to close in Q1 or Q2 2022; Wangen is based in Wangen, Germany and employs approximately 250 staff.

Sundyne, headquartered in Arvada, Colorado, will remain led by CEO Mark Sefcik and Warburg Pincus plans to support further organic and strategic growth; the deal was expected to close in the first half of 2020.

Lakers Group, the Nordic independent water pump service platform backed by Summa Equity, has completed four add-on acquisitions: Öhbergs Pumpservice (Sweden), Elmotorservice Syd (Sweden), A & J Pump Service (Finland) and Elmodan (Denmark). The acquisitions expand Lakers' presence across all Nordic markets, increase pro-forma revenues to NOK 350 million, and strengthen its wastewater, dewatering and pump service capabilities.

Ingersoll Rand Inc. acquired Air Power Systems Co., LLC (APSCO), Blutek s.r.l., and UT Pumps & Systems Private Limited in bolt-on transactions for a combined purchase price of approximately $135 million. The acquisitions add more than $50 million of combined revenue and expand Ingersoll Rand's pump, compressor and fluid-handling technologies and aftermarket capabilities across the United States, Italy and India.

Crane Engineering, a family-owned fluid processing distributor based in Kimberly, Wisconsin, has acquired Geiger Pump & Equipment Company, a Mid-Atlantic distributor and service provider of fluid process equipment with locations in Baltimore, Maryland and Aston, Pennsylvania. The deal expands Crane Engineering's geographic footprint into the Mid-Atlantic and New England and will keep Geiger's president, Chris Brown, in leadership of Geiger operations and in a corporate role with Crane.
