Atlas Copco Acquires CPC Pumps International Inc.

Atlas Copco has acquired CPC Pumps International Inc., a Burlington, Ontario-based designer, manufacturer and servicer of custom-engineered centrifugal pumps. CPC Pumps (110 employees; ~MSEK 385 in FY2020) will join Atlas Copco's Gas & Process division within the Compressor Technique business area to add complementary pump technology and strengthen its market position in North America.

Atlas Copco has acquired the operating assets of the compressor business of Mesa Equipment & Supply Company in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Nineteen employees will join Atlas Copco and the acquired operations will be integrated into the Service Division within Atlas Copco's Compressor Technique business area; the purchase price was not disclosed. Atlas Copco said the acquisition expands its geographic coverage and service opportunities.

Atlas Copco Group has acquired the high-pressure oil-free compressor technology of Hycomp Inc., integrating it into the Professional Air division within the Compressor Technique business area. Hycomp, a privately owned Utah manufacturer north of Salt Lake City with about 37 employees and roughly $8M in 2023 revenue, will expand Atlas Copco's product range and capabilities in oil-free high-pressure compressors.

Ingersoll Rand Inc. acquired Air Power Systems Co., LLC (APSCO), Blutek s.r.l., and UT Pumps & Systems Private Limited in bolt-on transactions for a combined purchase price of approximately $135 million. The acquisitions add more than $50 million of combined revenue and expand Ingersoll Rand's pump, compressor and fluid-handling technologies and aftermarket capabilities across the United States, Italy and India.
