Aon plc signed a definitive agreement to acquire NFP, a middle-market property & casualty broker and benefits/wealth/retirement plan advisory firm, for an estimated $13.4 billion at closing. The deal is expected to be funded with $7 billion in cash and $6.4 billion in Aon stock and will expand Aon’s presence in the large and fast-growing middle-market segment.
