UL Acquires Emergo to Expand Medical Device Regulatory Services

UL (Underwriters Laboratories) has acquired Emergo, an Austin-based regulatory services firm for medical device manufacturers, expanding UL's health sciences regulatory and market access capabilities. Emergo's headquarters and more than 200 employees will be retained as UL integrates Emergo's device registration expertise to accelerate global market access for customers.
