(ERS), a Cincinnati-based provider of cancer registry software and services, to strengthen its data abstraction and oncology registry management capabilities. The acquisition integrates ERS’s CRStar platform with Health Catalyst’s ARMUS and expands the company’s Tech-Enabled Managed Services (TEMS) offering in chart abstraction and registry management.

Ontario Systems Acquires Katabat

Ontario Systems, a provider of enterprise workflow automation software, acquired Katabat, a cloud-based debt-collection platform, to expand its collections workflow footprint into the first-party collections market. The deal brings Katabat’s machine-learning driven collections capabilities and customer base into Ontario’s suite of accounts receivable management solutions to improve recovery rates and broaden market coverage.

OpenText Acquires Carbonite, Inc.

OpenText completed the acquisition of Carbonite, Inc., a provider of cloud-based data protection, backup, disaster recovery and endpoint security, for approximately $1.45 billion in cash. OpenText Acquires Liaison Technologies

OpenText Acquires Guidance Software

OpenText agreed to acquire Guidance Software, the maker of EnCase, in a cash tender offer valued at $7.10 per share (approximately $240 million equity value; ~$222 million enterprise value). The purchase expands OpenText's Discovery and information security capabilities by adding Guidance's digital investigation, forensic security and endpoint solutions; the deal was expected to close in Q3 2017.
