Equinox Gold to Acquire Orla Mining in $18.5B All-Stock Transaction

Equinox Gold Corp. will acquire Orla Mining Ltd. in an all-stock, court-approved plan of arrangement, where Orla shareholders will receive 1.00 Equinox share plus a nominal cash payment of US$0.0001 per Orla share. The combined company is expected to create a new North American senior gold producer with projected annual production of about 1.1 million ounces and a path to more than 1.9 million ounces.

International Paper Acquires North Pacific Paper Company (NORPAC) for $360 Million

International Paper entered into an agreement to acquire North Pacific Paper Company (NORPAC) from One Rock Capital Partners for $360 million. NORPAC operates a paper mill in Longview, Washington and produces lightweight recycled containerboard and other paper grades. The acquisition is intended to strengthen International Paper’s West Coast packaging capabilities and improve production flexibility and service levels.

Bora Pharmaceuticals Acquires Upsher-Smith Laboratories

Bora Pharmaceuticals completed a 2024 acquisition of Upsher-Smith Laboratories for $210 million and is expanding the Maple Grove, Minnesota manufacturing site with a multi-year buildout. The investment includes installation of a Gerteis Macro-Pactor (operational Q3 2025) and development of 100,000 square feet of shell space to boost oral solid dose (OSD) contract development and manufacturing capabilities.

Veritiv Completes Acquisition of Orora Packaging Solutions

Alora Pharmaceuticals Acquires Osmotica's Legacy U.S. Business

Alora Pharmaceuticals, LLC closed the acquisition of Osmotica Pharmaceuticals plc's legacy U.S. business (including Osmotica Pharmaceutical US LLC, Vertical Pharmaceuticals, LLC and Trigen Laboratories, LLC) and the Marietta, Georgia manufacturing facility on August 27, 2021. Osmotica received approximately $111 million in proceeds, which it said would be used to retire a substantial portion of outstanding debt and to focus the company on its ophthalmic product UPNEEQ.
