Packsize announced it has completed an agreement to acquire Panotec’s packaging business, an Italian manufacturer of right-sized packaging machines. The deal is expected to expand Packsize’s machine portfolio and grow its installed customer base across more than 50 countries, pending customary closing conditions.

SC Pack Group Acquires Frapak Packaging

The SC Pack Group, backed by private equity investor MML Capital, has acquired Frapak Packaging — a longstanding partner and European supplier of glass and sustainable plastic packaging. The deal expands SC Pack’s European footprint and product portfolio, creating a combined group with ~€350m revenue and roughly 500 packaging professionals across more than 15 countries.

Greif, Inc. Agrees to Acquire IPACKCHEM Group SAS from SK Capital Partners

Greif, Inc. has entered into exclusive negotiations to acquire IPACKCHEM Group SAS from an affiliate of SK Capital Partners in a cash transaction valued at $538 million. IPACKCHEM, headquartered in Paris with ~1,400 employees and LTM sales of ~$235 million (adjusted EBITDA ~$57 million), will expand Greif's capabilities in premium barrier and small plastic containers and support growth in EMEA and APAC.

360Pack Acquires Team Packaging from Colorado

Flexpak, LLC, a Shorehill Capital-backed value-added packaging distributor based in Woods Cross, Utah, completed the acquisition of Thornton, Colorado-based Preferred Packaging Products, Inc. on February 1, 2023. The add-on expands Flexpak's geographic footprint into Colorado and adds specialized packaging capabilities serving end markets including electronics, instrumentation, consumer products and healthcare.

Specialized Packaging Group (SPG), a portfolio company of Altamont Capital Partners, has acquired Bay Area-based Specialized Packaging Solutions (SPS). The deal expands SPG’s Engineered Packaging capabilities, adds roughly 100 employees (who will continue to operate in Newark, California), and coincides with SPS founder and CEO Terry Besso’s retirement.
