Quadrant Private Equity has agreed to make a growth equity investment in Sydney-based Birch & Waite, a 30-year-old commercial food manufacturer known for sauces, dressings and condiments that supplies customers including Guzman y Gomez and HelloFresh. The deal, sourced from Quadrant's seventh buyout fund, values the business at just above AUD 300 million and involves a transaction with Fortitude (the vendor).

The combined company now operates more than 20 distribution centers, has approximately 1,700 employees and over $3 billion in annual sales; Altamont Capital Partners (CBBC's prior sponsor) will retain an equity stake.
