Prodalim, a global juice and specialty ingredients company based in Rotterdam, has acquired René Laurent, a century-old beverage flavours specialist based in the Grasse area of France, from International Flavours & Fragrances Inc. (IFF). The deal brings René Laurent into Prodalim's Beverage Compounds business unit to strengthen its flavour capabilities, in-house distillation and extraction expertise, and broaden its beverage solutions offering.

A&M Capital Europe Acquires Majority Stake in Isla Délice

A&M Capital Europe (AMCE) has signed a definitive agreement to acquire a majority stake in Isla Délice, a halal packaged foods producer headquartered in France, from Perwyn. The deal is subject to customary closing conditions and is expected to close later this year, in partnership with Isla Délice’s management team.

Advent International Acquires Majority Stake in Parfums de Marly Group

Advent International has agreed to acquire a majority shareholding in the group behind luxury fragrance brands Parfums de Marly and INITIO Parfums Privés from founder Julien Sprecher. Sprecher will remain as Executive Chairman, Creative Director and a large minority shareholder while Advent will support the Group's international expansion and omni-channel strategy.

Isla Délice Acquires Hoca Meat Products

Isla Délice, a Perwyn-backed French producer of branded Halal meat products, has acquired Hoca Meat Products, a Belgian manufacturer operating two production facilities near Kortrijk. The acquisition supports Isla Délice's international expansion across Europe and Christophe Hoste will continue to manage Hoca within the Isla Délice group.

Perwyn Sells Mr Mallo to Versele Family, Management and Chris De Wolf

Perwyn has signed a binding agreement to sell Mr Mallo (formerly Confiserie Van Damme) to the entrepreneurial Versele family together with the company management team and investor Chris De Wolf. Mr Mallo is a leading European marshmallow manufacturer headquartered in Wetteren, Belgium, operating three production sites and serving customers in 55 countries; the signing took place on 25 July with completion expected before the end of August.

Naturellement Gourmand (Abenex) Acquires Les Délices du Chef

Naturellement Gourmand, the food group controlled by private equity firm Abenex, has acquired Les Délices du Chef, a Breton producer of blinis, pancakes, crêpes and galettes. The deal brings the 50-employee company into the NG group (which includes Tartefrais), strengthens the group's presence in organic and export channels, and sees the sellers/management reinvest alongside Abenex and Arkéa Capital.
