Argand Partners has acquired Midwest Can Company and Container Specialties, Inc., a Franklin Park, Illinois-based manufacturer of portable fuel containers and custom blow-molded plastic containers. Argand plans to partner with management to accelerate new product development and expand geographic penetration; the transaction was supported by a loan facility from Benefit Street Partners and represents a purchase from GenNx360 Capital Partners.

Mauser Packaging Solutions, an affiliate of Stone Canyon Industries LLC, has acquired substantially all assets of Consolidated Container Company, LLC, a manufacturer, reconditioner and distributor of industrial containers with facilities in Minneapolis, Minnesota and Kansas City, Kansas. The transaction, funded with $56 million in cash from Mauser's balance sheet, expands Mauser’s reconditioning and recycling capabilities and geographic footprint and is expected to be margin accretive before synergies.

Industrial Opportunity Partners (IOP), an operations-focused private equity firm based in Evanston, Illinois, has acquired Midwest Recycled and Coated Containerboard Mill, LLC ("Midwest Paper"), a paper mill headquartered in Combined Locks, Wisconsin. Terms were not disclosed; the transaction is IOP’s fourth platform investment from its third fund and was financed with senior debt from JP Morgan Chase Bank and Chemical Bank and subordinated debt from Yukon Partners.
