Paine Schwartz Partners has made a growth investment in Kynetec through Paine Schwartz Food Chain Fund V; financial terms were not disclosed. Kynetec, a provider of agricultural and animal health market research, data and insights based in Newbury, England (with operations in St. Louis, Missouri), will use the capital to accelerate growth, expand capabilities and pursue complementary bolt-on acquisitions.

The deal expands PTS’s technical capabilities and regional presence in the Southwest, enabling the combined group to offer broader managed and infrastructure services to SMB and public-sector customers.

Nanalysis Scientific Acquires K'(Prime) Technologies Inc.

Nanalysis Scientific Corp. has entered into a binding agreement to acquire 100% of K'(Prime) Technologies Inc., a North American sales and service company focused on scientific instrumentation and security imaging systems. The transaction consideration includes C$3 million in cash, 2.76 million Nanalysis shares (two-year lock-up) and up to C$1 million in earn-outs; closing was expected by Dec 31, 2021.

AMCS Acquires Quentic

AMCS, a Limerick-based provider of cloud software and vehicle technology for environmental and recycling industries, has acquired Berlin-based Quentic, a SaaS provider of EHSQ and ESG management software. The deal closed after German regulatory approval in June/July 2022 and was completed alongside a new equity investment in AMCS from Clearlake Capital and co-investments from Insight Partners, Ireland Strategic Investment Fund and Highland Europe.

Wolters Kluwer Acquires XCM Solutions

Wolters Kluwer Tax & Accounting North America has agreed to acquire XCM Solutions, a cloud-based workflow solutions provider for professional tax and accounting firms, for €136 million. The acquisition (target headquartered in Quincy, Massachusetts with ~440 employees and 2019 revenues of €19 million) will enable integration with Wolters Kluwer’s CCH Axcess platform and expand its cloud-based workflow and outsourcing capabilities.

Survey Solutions Acquires Survey Systems and Kempston Surveys

Survey Solutions, an RJD Partners-backed UK engineering and topographical surveyor headquartered in Ipswich, has acquired Survey Systems (Manchester) and Kempston Surveys (Bedfordshire) to expand its geographic coverage and service offering. The deals add over 48 employees (over 40 from Survey Systems and eight from Kempston), increase Survey Solutions' headcount to around 160 and bring the business to nine offices nationwide.
