Techniplas Acquires Proper Group's Anderson, SC Manufacturing Facility

Techniplas US, LLC completed the acquisition of Proper Group International's Anderson, South Carolina manufacturing operation (Proper Anderson). The 86,000 ft2 injection-molding and assembly facility — founded in 1996 with over 120 employees — produces Tier I and Tier II automotive exterior components as well as consumer and industrial components; Techniplas said the purchase expands its capabilities in Class A surface components.

Luxium Solutions Acquires PLX Inc. and PLX UK from Tinicum-led Investor Group

Luxium Solutions, a PE-backed provider of high-performance crystals for photonics and radiation detection, has agreed to acquire PLX Inc. and PLX UK, Ltd. from an investor group led by Tinicum. The acquisition broadens Luxium's detection-enabling technology capabilities by adding PLX's monolithic optical assembly, optomechanical engineering and systems-integration expertise; debt financing was provided by KeyBanc Capital Markets and a unitranche by Stellus Capital Management.

Techniplas Acquires Molded Products Division of Lyle Industries

Techniplas, LLC has acquired the Molded Products Division of Lyle Industries, Inc., a Tier 1 supplier of cargo systems, carpeted trim and molded floors for luxury SUVs and electric passenger cars. The divestiture gives Techniplas new strategic manufacturing locations in the U.S. Southeast and complementary molding process capabilities while Lyle Industries will continue to supply premium carpet to the business.

Eusider Group Acquires Profiltubi S.p.A. from AUCTUS

Eusider Group has acquired the Profiltubi Group (including O.M.V. Ventura) from private equity investor AUCTUS. Profiltubi, an Italian manufacturer of electrically welded carbon steel pipes with consolidated revenue above €100 million, will join Eusider’s steel service and manufacturing platform to support further growth and market leadership.

Sea Link International Acquires Hicks Plastics

Sea Link International, a New Water Capital portfolio company, has acquired Hicks Plastics Company, a Tier II supplier of injection-molded and metallized automotive forward lighting components headquartered in Macomb, Michigan (with a secondary facility in Knoxville, Tennessee). The add-on expands Sea Link's domestic manufacturing and assembly capabilities to better serve OEM and Tier 1 customers; Tim Hicks will join Sea Link as a vice president while remaining president of Hicks Plastics.

Saint-Gobain (CertainTeed) Acquires Vi-Lux Building Products

Saint-Gobain, through its North American building-products subsidiary CertainTeed LLC, has acquired Vi-Lux Building Products, a Canadian custom manufacturer of cellular PVC trim and millwork based in Napanee, Ontario. The deal adds specialty PVC molding and trim capacity to Saint-Gobain's siding and millwork offering; Vi-Lux’s 49 plant employees will become part of Saint-Gobain/CertainTeed.
