Saint-Gobain (CertainTeed) Acquires Vi-Lux Building Products

Saint-Gobain, through its North American building-products subsidiary CertainTeed LLC, has acquired Vi-Lux Building Products, a Canadian custom manufacturer of cellular PVC trim and millwork based in Napanee, Ontario. The deal adds specialty PVC molding and trim capacity to Saint-Gobain's siding and millwork offering; Vi-Lux’s 49 plant employees will become part of Saint-Gobain/CertainTeed.

The business, headquartered in Hiram, Ohio with global facilities in the United States, France and India, supplies scintillation crystals and sapphire/garnet substrates for medical imaging, semiconductor and defense end markets.
