Acorn HoldCo, Inc., in connection with ADTRAN, launched a voluntary public takeover offer for ADVA Optical Networking SE, securing 65.43% of ADVA shares via an exchange of Acorn HoldCo common stock. Acorn HoldCo intends to implement a domination and profit and loss transfer agreement to integrate ADVA with ADTRAN and realize operational synergies prior to year-end 2022.

Nokia Acquires Infinera

Nokia completed the acquisition of Infinera, closing the transaction on 28 February 2025. The deal values Infinera at an enterprise value of approximately US$2.3 billion (US$6.65 per share) and is intended to create a scaled optical-networks business to accelerate product roadmaps, expand webscale presence and capture EUR 200 million of net operating synergies by 2027.

Transtelco Holding Acquires Neutrona Networks International

Transtelco Holding Inc., a binational fiber infrastructure provider based in El Paso, Texas, has acquired Miami-based Neutrona Networks International, a Software-Defined Network service provider focused on Latin America and the Caribbean. The deal expands Transtelco's geographic reach and cloud/connectivity capabilities across the Americas while integrating Neutrona's SDN and cloud-connectivity services into Transtelco's fiber platform.

Marvell Technology Acquires Inphi Corporation

Marvell Technology Group Ltd. agreed to acquire Inphi Corporation in a cash-and-stock transaction that will combine Marvell's storage, networking and processor portfolio with Inphi's high-speed electro-optics interconnect platform. The deal positions the combined company to lead in cloud data center and 5G infrastructure markets, will domicile the combined company in the United States, and is expected to deliver $125 million of annual run-rate synergies within 18 months.

Belden Inc. Acquires Precision Optical Technologies, Inc.

Belden Inc. has acquired Precision Optical Technologies, Inc. in a transaction announced at approximately $290 million in cash. The deal adds a portfolio of value‑added optical transceivers and fiber products to Belden's Enterprise Solutions segment to broaden its PON and fiber offerings for telcos, MSOs, data centers and enterprise customers; the acquisition was expected to close by end of Q2 2024 and has been completed.

Advent International and Cinven Acquire thyssenkrupp Elevator from thyssenkrupp AG

Advent International and Cinven have completed the acquisition of thyssenkrupp's Elevator Technology business (thyssenkrupp Elevator) from thyssenkrupp AG, with thyssenkrupp AG retaining a substantial minority stake. The global elevator and escalator manufacturer and service provider is headquartered in Germany and will pursue growth through geographic expansion, strategic acquisitions, and investment in R&D backed by the Consortium's financial resources.
