New Mountain Capital has closed its acquisition of Profile Products, a Buffalo Grove, Illinois-based developer and manufacturer of engineered horticulture growing media, erosion control products and soil amendments. The deal follows Incline Equity Partners' partnership with Profile since 2018 and positions New Mountain to fund product innovation, capacity expansion and strategic add-on acquisitions to accelerate growth.

66degrees and Pandera Systems Merge with Growth Investment from Sunstone Partners

Cloud professional services firms 66degrees and Pandera Systems have merged and received additional growth equity from Sunstone Partners to create the second-largest pure-play Google Cloud services firm in North America. The combined business expands 66degrees' data & analytics, cloud migration, security and application modernization capabilities and will have roughly 500 employees across offices in Denver, Chicago, Orlando and India.

Upland Software Acquires Panviva

Upland Software, Inc. (Nasdaq: UPLD) has acquired Panviva Pty Ltd, a cloud-based enterprise knowledge-management (KM) provider, to expand Upland’s knowledge-guided customer service and contact-center offerings. The deal was funded with $19.8 million cash at closing plus a $3.5 million cash holdback; Panviva is expected to contribute approximately $7.5 million of recurring annual revenue and the transaction led Upland to raise its 2021 guidance.

New York-based private equity firm Capital Z Partners Management, LLC acquired Portfolio Group, Inc., a Lake Forest, California–based provider of vehicle service contracts, GAP insurance and other F&I products, from Frontenac Company, LLC. Management will remain in place with significant ownership; terms were not disclosed.
