The investment marks Novacap’s exit and brings in growth capital and strategic support from General Atlantic to accelerate Plusgrade’s product and market expansion across airlines, hospitality, cruise and rail travel segments.

Morningstar Acquires PlanPlus Global

Morningstar, Inc. has agreed to acquire PlanPlus Global, a Toronto-based financial-planning and risk-profiling software provider. The deal (terms undisclosed) is intended to expand Morningstar's financial-planning capabilities and integrate PlanPlus's FinaMetrica Profiler and ProPlanner products into Morningstar's advisor-facing offerings; the transaction was expected to close in the second quarter of 2020.

Oakley Capital Acquires Spanish ERP Provider Ekon from Unit4 Iberia

Oakley Capital has agreed to acquire Ekon, a Spanish provider of ERP and business software, in a carve-out from the Iberian operations of Unit4. The deal — Oakley's first investment in Spain — gives the firm a platform to accelerate Ekon's cloud ERP growth; Ekon serves over 1,000 SMEs and generates approximately €20m in revenue.
