Exus Renewables North America announced it has acquired Ozone Renewables to strengthen its in-house greenfield development capabilities and expand its early-stage project pipeline across wind, solar, and energy storage. The acquisition brings Ozone’s experienced development team and pipeline in-house so Exus can originate early-stage projects rather than rely primarily on third-party developers.

Celly H2 Acquires Chemtec New Energies from Chemtec Energy Services

Celly H2 LLC has acquired Chemtec New Energies (CNE), a renewable-energy focused division of Chemtec Energy Services LLC, to expand its hydrogen fueling and storage infrastructure capabilities. The deal brings CNE's modular refueling and storage expertise into Celly's portfolio to accelerate deployment of modular advanced hydrogen refueling stations (MAHRS) for municipalities, transit authorities, fleets, industrial users and ports.

Summit Hydraulics (North Branch Capital) Acquires PowerX International

Summit Hydraulics, a portfolio company of North Branch Capital, has acquired PowerX International, a Waukesha, Wisconsin-based supplier of high-pressure hydraulic cylinders and pumps. The add-on transaction closed on May 1, 2024 and expands Summit's product offering and access to OEM and distributor end markets (construction, agriculture and other industrial equipment).

Chevron Acquires Magnum Development and Majority Stake in ACES Delta Hydrogen Project

Chevron U.S.A. Inc., through its Chevron New Energies division, has closed the acquisition of 100% of Magnum Development, LLC from Haddington Ventures, gaining a majority interest in ACES Delta, LLC — the developer of the Advanced Clean Energy Storage hydrogen production and salt-cavern storage project in Delta, Utah. The project will produce and store renewable hydrogen (first phase ~100 metric tons/day) to serve utility, transportation and industrial customers in the western United States and is expected to enter commercial-scale operations in mid-2025.

ZeroAvia Acquires HyPoint

ZeroAvia has acquired HyPoint, a developer of high-temperature hydrogen fuel cell stacks, integrating HyPoint’s ~40 engineering staff and IP into ZeroAvia’s hydrogen powertrain business. The deal brings HyPoint’s HTPEM fuel cell technology into ZeroAvia’s R&D and production footprint to accelerate development of hydrogen-electric powertrains for fixed-wing and rotorcraft applications.

The acquisition expands Hydrasun's hydrogen systems capabilities and proprietary technology with plans to scale manufacturing, recruit staff and accelerate R&D.
