PowerTransitions to Acquire 323 MW Alliance Energy Power Plant Portfolio to Enter New York Market

PowerTransitions entered into an agreement to acquire a portfolio of five operating thermal power plants totaling 323 MW from affiliates of Alliance Energy Group. The acquisition is intended to redevelop the legacy generation sites into new power generation, battery energy storage, and powered land sites for data centers and advanced manufacturers, marking PowerTransitions’ entry into New York. The transaction was signed on January 30, 2026 and is expected to close later in 2026, subject to customary conditions and regulatory approvals.
