Serverfarm, together with long-term partner NantWorks, acquired the 117,500 sq. ft. LAX1 data center in El Segundo, California (previously operated by T5). The acquisition expands Serverfarm’s owned and managed portfolio in the Los Angeles market and enables modernization and sustainability upgrades using its InCommand DMaaS platform to serve hyperscale, healthcare, government and media tenants.

Serent Capital Provides Growth Investment in ManageAmerica

Carlyle Acquires Data Center Provider Involta

Funds managed by global investment firm Carlyle have acquired Involta, a Cedar Rapids-based hybrid IT, cloud and data center services provider, from private equity firm M/C Partners. The acquisition (which closed in early 2022) gives Carlyle control of Involta's 12 data center facilities and 12,000+ fiber-mile network and is intended to accelerate geographic and capability expansion across hybrid cloud, edge and fiber services.

Advantage Capital Invests $1.75 Million in Farmstead Manufacturing

Advantage Capital provided a $1.75 million growth capital investment in Utah-based Farmstead Manufacturing to fund a land purchase and expand a commercial bakery from 1,000 to 5,000 square feet. The financing will support increased production capacity and distribution via wholesale, e-commerce, and catering, and the expansion is expected to create 25–30 new jobs in Leeds, Utah.
