Company of Merchants Acquires C&D Scrap Metal Recyclers

Merchants Metals Recycling II CD, LLC (the "Company of Merchants") has acquired C&D Scrap Metal Recyclers Co., Inc., a Houston-based scrap metal recycler, in a transaction that closed on November 21, 2022. The acquisition expands the buyer's portfolio of industrial facilities and increases its convenient metal drop-off footprint and brand recognition across the Greater Houston area.

Frontier Waste Solutions Acquires 380 McKinney C&D Landfill

Sims Metal Acquires Baltimore Scrap Corp

Sims Metal, the metal recycling business of Sims Limited, has agreed to acquire the assets of Baltimore Scrap Corp and its affiliates for US$177 million plus working capital and other adjustments. The deal adds 17 facilities (including four shredders) across Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania, New York and New Jersey and ~600,000 tonnes per year of scrap volume, strengthening Sims' North American footprint; the transaction is expected to close in October 2023 subject to customary approvals.

Waste Connections Acquires Lone Star Disposal from J.F. Lehman & Company

DTG Recycle Acquires Cascade Recycling

DTG Recycle has acquired substantially all assets of Cascade Recycling, adding a recycling facility, over 950 containers and a large trucking fleet to its Puget Sound operations. The deal expands DTG's footprint in the south Puget Sound, increases hauling capacity, and brings Cascade employees into DTG with an expanded benefits package.

Capital Waste Services (Kinderhook) Acquires Sandlands C&D Landfill of SC

Capital Waste Services, a portfolio company of Kinderhook Industries, has acquired Sandlands C&D Landfill of SC, a Class II construction & demolition landfill and roll-off hauling business based in Gresham, South Carolina. The acquisition includes an on-site transfer station and an in-development transfer station in North Carolina, and represents Capital Waste's tenth add-on to expand disposal capacity in its core geography; a debt financing syndicate led by Comerica Bank supported the transaction.
