Thoma Bravo has completed a strategic growth investment to acquire Foundation Software, a provider of construction accounting software and payroll services for small- to mid-sized specialty contractors. Founder & CEO Fred Ode will retain a minority ownership stake, and the transaction was financed by funds managed by affiliates of The Private Credit Group of Goldman Sachs Asset Management, BlackRock US Private Credit and Interbank.

As part of the transaction Anaplan CEO Frank Calderoni stepped down and Charles Goodman was appointed interim CEO; Thoma Bravo said it will invest to accelerate Anaplan's growth and product strategy.

Thoma Bravo has agreed to acquire Calypso Technology from private equity owners Bridgepoint and Summit Partners; the transaction is expected to close in Q2 2021 subject to regulatory approvals and financial terms were not disclosed. Calypso, a San Francisco–based provider of cloud-enabled, front-to-back capital markets software and managed services, will partner with Thoma Bravo to accelerate product innovation, cloud adoption and growth through organic investment and M&A.

Thoma Bravo Acquires SailPoint for $6.9 Billion

The deal, providing SailPoint stockholders $65.25 per share, gives SailPoint access to Thoma Bravo’s operational resources and capital to accelerate product innovation and expand its global customer base.
