Arctic Glacier, LLC has acquired North Star Ice Ltd., a family-owned packaged ice producer based in London, Ontario. The acquisition expands Arctic Glacier’s Canadian footprint and distribution reach as the company also opens a new production facility in Montreal; North Star’s Smibert family will transition ownership to Arctic Glacier.

Terms were not disclosed; Reddy Ice will divest four facilities and associated customer contracts to address DOJ antitrust review as it integrates Arctic Glacier into its North American packaged-ice platform.

Inc., a family- and veteran-owned packaged-ice and dry-ice producer operating facilities in Sanford and Bangor, Maine. The acquisition expands Arctic Glacier’s production and distribution capacity across New England, strengthening its ability to serve retail and commercial customers in the region.
