Frontline Road Safety (The Sterling Group) Acquires Ozark Striping Company

Frontline Road Safety, a platform company sponsored by The Sterling Group, has acquired the pavement marking contracting operations of Ozark Striping Company, LLC, expanding Frontline's footprint in the U.S. Southeast. The deal is the eighth add-on for the Frontline platform since its July 2020 formation as Sterling continues to build a national road-safety and infrastructure maintenance platform.

The Sterling Group, a Houston-based private equity firm, has formed a new platform called Frontline Road Safety and completed the acquisition of Stripe-A-Zone, a Dallas–Fort Worth-based pavement marking and striping company. Stripe-A-Zone, long owned by the Sargent family, becomes the first member of the Frontline platform as Sterling pursues a national roll-up in the road safety and infrastructure maintenance sector.

Bain Capital Acquires Frontline Road Safety from The Sterling Group

Bain Capital Private Equity has agreed to acquire Frontline Road Safety, the largest U.S. provider of pavement marking and roadway safety services, from The Sterling Group. Frontline, headquartered in Denver with over 50 locations and approximately 1,750 employees, will continue to be led by CEO Mitch Williams and the existing management team, which will remain significant investors; financial terms were not disclosed.

The add-on expands Frontline's traffic control, safety signage and work zone capabilities and deepens its regional footprint across more than 10 states.
