Clavis Capital Partners and Green Hills Partners Acquire UCC Environmental

UCC Environmental, a Waukegan, Illinois–based provider of engineered environmental systems for solids handling, wastewater treatment and air pollution control, received a strategic investment from Clavis Capital Partners and Green Hills Partners. The existing family owner remains a partial owner; the new capital will fund investments in talent, broaden UCC's environmental and water solutions, and accelerate international growth and market-share expansion.

Coalesce Capital Acquires Miller Environmental Group

Coalesce Capital has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Miller Environmental Group, a Calverton, New York–based provider of waste, industrial, and environmental services, from GenNx360 Capital Partners. Miller operates 30 locations across the United States serving over 1,800 customers; Coalesce plans to invest in human capital, technology, and add-on acquisitions to expand the company's branch and facility network.

Shamrock Environmental Acquires JG Environmental

Shamrock Environmental, a CenterOak Partners portfolio company, has acquired JG Environmental, adding waste processing and disposal capabilities in Lancaster, Pennsylvania and more than 50 employees. The deal is Shamrock's fifth acquisition since 2020 under CenterOak ownership; terms were not disclosed.

York Group of Companies Acquires MCS Group

York Group of Companies, a Vaughan-based provider of environmental and infrastructure services, has acquired Toronto-based MCS Group, expanding York's service offerings to include hydrovac excavation, CCTV sewer inspection and flushing, directional drilling and related site services. The acquisition is the first post-investment M&A for York after Fengate Asset Management and the LiUNA Pension Fund invested in the company to provide growth capital.

Miller Environmental Group Acquires AB Environmental

Miller Environmental Group, a GenNx360 Capital Partners portfolio company, has acquired AB Environmental, a Bohemia, New York-based provider of environmental response, remediation, transportation and recycling services. The add-on expands MEG's East Coast footprint and waste-processing capabilities by adding AB's New York Department of Environmental Conservation-permitted TSDF and regional operations.

GFL Environmental Acquires Terrapure Environmental's Solid Waste and Environmental Solutions Business for C$927.5M

GFL Environmental Inc. entered into a definitive agreement to acquire the solid waste and environmental solutions business of Terrapure Environmental Ltd. and its subsidiaries for an aggregate purchase price of C$927.5 million (excluding Terrapure's battery recycling business). The acquired operations serve more than 7,000 customers across Canada, operate an integrated network of assets (including the Stoney Creek landfill), generated ~C$365 million of revenue in 2020 and employ approximately 1,600 people; GFL expects meaningful synergies and expanded regional capabilities.
