Seaway Plastics Engineering, a PE-backed injection-molded components manufacturer, has acquired MME Group, a St. Paul-based contract manufacturer specializing in injection molding, tooling and assembly for FDA-regulated medical and other highly engineered products. The deal, finalized September 30, 2022, expands Seaway's geographic footprint and capabilities and advances its growth strategy under its sponsor, ICG's North American Direct Private Equity team.

Origin Seal Acquires Atlantic Joint

Origin Seal, backed by private equity firm Abenex, has acquired Atlantic Joint from Thierry Buissonneaud and Antoine Lefebvre. Atlantic Joint, founded in 1993 and headquartered in Nantes, specialises in custom cutting of joints, profiles and sleeves (generating over €3m in sales) — the deal expands Origin Seal's footprint in the Grand Ouest and adds custom-cutting capabilities to the platform.

Teufelberger and Sigma Plastics Group Acquire Maillis Plastics Solutions from H.I.G. Capital

Teufelberger and Sigma Plastics Group have acquired Maillis Plastics Solutions (MPS) — a Karczew, Poland-based manufacturer of stretch film and plastic strapping — in a deal sold by H.I.G. Capital/Maillis Group. Teufelberger purchased MPS' strapping business to strengthen its European market position, while Sigma acquired the stretch film segment to establish a European presence.

GMS Inc. Acquires Engler, Meier & Justus and Blair Building Materials

Consolidated Equipment Group Acquires Agile Manufacturing Group

Consolidated Equipment Group (CEG), a portfolio company of Dominus Capital, has acquired Agile Manufacturing Group, LLC, a Granite, Iowa-based maker of agricultural, industrial and construction attachments marketed under the GrabTec and Miller Loader brands. The deal is an add-on to CEG's platform to broaden its product suite and expand into adjacent material-handling end markets; Agile founder Mike Feilmeier will remain in leadership as Vice President of Agile Products.
