Marlin Equity Partners Completes Majority Growth Investment in Learning Pool

Marlin Equity Partners has agreed to a majority growth investment in Learning Pool, acquiring the shareholding of Carlyle Cardinal Ireland to support the eLearning provider's continued organic and inorganic growth. The investment will back product and geographic expansion, additional acquisitions and hiring (Learning Pool currently has ~260 employees and plans to add 100 more), while Learning Pool's management has reinvested alongside the transaction.

LLR Partners Acquires Majority Stake in TrueLearn

LLR Partners has made a majority investment in TrueLearn, a Mooresville, North Carolina-based provider of virtual learning, exam preparation and learning analytics for healthcare students and training programs. The investment — which represents an exit for Kian Capital Partners — will fund TrueLearn's organic growth, expansion into adjacent healthcare markets (including pharmacy and allied health) and pursuit of strategic acquisitions; DC Advisory served as TrueLearn's exclusive financial advisor.

Remote Learner — which has around 35 staff and 300+ customers including Indeed and Royal Caribbean — will be led by Dr. Page Chen as CEO and join the Learning Pool Group board.
